Get Your Wiggle On!

Are you sat down at your desk or workplace for long periods of time? On Your Feet Britain is challenging workplaces across the UK to improve their habits and is encouraging workforces to get active.

This is your chance to encourage your employees, co-workers or even your boss to get on their feet.  Why not team up against another local company and see who is best at reducing their sitting time on Thursday 27th April?   This national activity awareness day will see over two million desk-based workers across Britain participate in lots of fun ways and activities to #SitLess and #MoveMore at work.

There are lots of ways to get active, why not visit your local Inflata Nation Inflatable Park around 27th April with work colleagues for a unique and laugh out loud fun way to get your bounce on and improve your motivation, mental health and boost your energy levels.

Why should we sit less?

Sitting for long periods slows the metabolism which affects the body's ability to regulate blood sugar, blood pressure and break down body fat. Studies suggest inactivity can lead to being overweight, type 2 diabetes, and even cancer.

Tips to reduce sitting time:

  • Stand on the train or bus.
  • Take the stairs or walk-up escalators.
  • Set a reminder to get up every 30 minutes.
  • Place a laptop on a box or similar to work standing.
  • Stand or walk around whilst on the phone.
  • Take a walk every time you make a coffee or tea break.
  • Walk to a colleague's desk instead of emailing or calling.

Did you know that regular movement throughout the day leads to many wellbeing benefits including better physical and mental health, increased motivation, improved concentration and many, many more.

Keep the activity and team building going throughout the year with a group visit to Inflata Nation for an hourly bounce session or get in touch to discuss exclusive hire of the inflatable arenas for your corporate away day.
